Adult Volunteers needed at Peaceful Acres (over 18 years of age)
Peaceful Acres is looking to find 8-10 adult volunteers who would like to help at the farm on Saturday afternoons from 1:00-4:00, Sunday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 and weekday afternoons from 3:00-6:00.

The positions involve barn care: cleaning stalls, filling water troths, feeding and some grooming and horse care. The volunteers will have set schedules that fit their needs and the needs of the farm.

Peaceful Acres also has a couple positions open for people interested in assisting with youth sessions as an auditor – this will require some horse experience – we will train. (afternoons from 3:00-6:00)

* If you are not interested in horse care or auditing sessions…perhaps you can assist us with office help? Our Welcome Center will be built soon and we will need someone to help with office tasks – including answering phones, taking referrals and managing schedules. This position is very flexible – weekdays and Saturday.

STEP  the Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program a 501 (c ) 3 not for profit organization is seeking a daytime stablehand to clean stalls and to perform small barn duties, i.e., check horses, water, and  the facility.  Our wonderful college bound STEP-kids have all returned to school, leaving a great void caring for our barn and horses.

This is a great opportunity for either a retired person or local college student who can work independently and/or under the direct supervision of the barn manager.  Requires 2 to 2+1/2 hours of your time a day weekdays.
